About the Journal

Elandalos Journal serves as a platform for scholarly publications focusing on archaeology, museum, history, social humanities, education, engineer, social economic, and sciene. The name "Elandalos" itself is inspired by the glorious Islamic civilization in Andalusia, which made significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge and world culture. The intellectual spirit and scientific openness of that civilization form the philosophical foundation of this journal in developing scholarly discourse.

The editorial leadership is composed of senior academics from Universitas Andalas who hold advanced degrees in education, computer science, archaeology, and social sciences. They are actively engaged in international scholarly networks through Scopus, Google Scholar, and ORCiD, and their expertise spans pedagogy, cultural resource management, and interdisciplinary humanities. Supporting them are managing editors and directors with strong backgrounds in archaeology, social sciences, museum management, heritage studies, economic and enginering application ensuring the journal’s administration is grounded in both academic rigor and cultural relevance.

The editorial board brings together specialists in Indonesian literature from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Universitas Andalas, alongside researchers in regional humanities affiliated with national associations. Their ranks include academics from Universitas Jambi with expertise in social sciences, practitioners from the National Cultural Heritage Team focusing on conservation and policy, and educators from Universitas Indraprasta Jakarta specializing in pedagogy and cultural education. Complementing this diversity are scholars in English literature from Universitas Andalas, contributing perspectives in comparative literary studies and translation. Collectively, the team represents a blend of disciplinary strengths, uniting literature, heritage conservation, pedagogy, and social sciences to guide the journal’s vision and scholarly output.
